Banasura Dam

21 km from Kalpetta. Largest earthen dam in India. It is created by Karamanathodu tributary of Kabini River, with the necessity to support the Kakkayam Hydro-Electric Project, and to meet the irrigation and livelihood water requirements of the people .

Edakkal Caves

is located at 25 km from Kalpetta.It is a 96 ft long, 22 ft wide and 30ft high cleft formed by the vertical split of a mountain. A gigantic rock of enormous size fell into this crevice, forming a large roof over a large part of it, which gives it the impression of a cave.

Kurva Deep

is almost 950-acre protected delta on the Kabini River in the Wayanad district of Kerala, India.This island is dense and an evergreen forest which is uninhabited and hence a home to rare kinds of flora and fauna: uncommon species of birds, orchids and herbs.
